On communicable diseases
Life, on the whole, seems to be looking good. But, needless to say, I do have qualms. Not very big ones, but qualms nonetheless.
My iPod earphones have finally died on me. The right earphone has ceased to function. I always knew their doom was swiftly approaching, especially after I let them lie in my shirt pocket last week, as the shirt, pocket and all, went through a couple of very thorough soak and rinse cycles, followed by a brisk two-minute spin. It is a surprise, and says much about the left earphone's resilience and courage in the face of the enemy, that both of them didn't meet the same sticky end (subtle pun there, I gleefully note). I have, as a result, been forced to listen to Bus Music over the last few days.
I am tremendously short on sleep. I have slept less than, and I do not exaggerate, 14 hours over the past week. I have been home precisely twice during the same period, and then too primarily to brush my teeth. On one of these trips home, I also managed a quick bath.
My MEL 120 professor has fallen into the annoying habit of asking questions such as, "Why were you not in class yesterday?", and, "Why are you stealing jobs from the workshop?", and the occasional, "What does a stripper do?"
My feet hurt. And the world does not care about what I think.
Worst of all, I recently came across, as I was reading through one of my favorite books the third time, some very disturbing information. Although, as I have said, I've read the book two times earlier, for some strange reason it was only this time that I came across the disturbing information that I came across.
There, somewhere in the middle of the book were the words that I came across and that contained the disturbing information that I came across.
"Insanity is Contagious."
So now, in addition to guarding against a cold and Bird-Flu, I also have to guard against Insanity. And at a place like IIT, I will have to guard well.
But then, as some might say, we will find a brighter day.

It's a pity you learn so slow.
anyway, beware of me. i am contagious.
Phoenix,
I have had enough. I shall take no more insults from you. First you called me abnormal, and now you have called me dim.
The next time you want to insult me, do so like most others.
Behind my back.
Upayan, the error is regretted. As for the comment, don't think twice about it, irrespective of what the world's status might be on caring about what you think.
Well well, I'm pretty blunt dude. So nothing comes off me behind the back.I'd say this on your fac, and again. You are unique(not abnormal) and slow(not dim) in the context of this post. And i'm contagious, and also a student of euphemism I believe!:P
Insanity is Contagious, and Insaanity is on the verge of extinction, I should add.
Who do you think you are? You think of yourself as the king of blogging!Your blog is dead. No one comes here anymore.
I know that you anonymously insulted my family on my blog.
1. You suck
2. I know more English than you.
4. Now, who your daddy?
Yours sincerely,
Saurabh Praveen Chandan
Mr. Saurabh Praveen Chandan,
Keeping in mind your rather limited mental faculties and your obstinate refusal to see sense, I will be keeping this fairly simple, and shall attend to your questions in the strict order that they have been raised.
I know I am Manu Saxena, and not once have I believed that I am, or was, the King of Blogging. I am not worthy of such titles. I am merely a proponent and a practitioner of a fairly universal custom.
My blog might be dead, but it still maintains a certain semblance of civility, which is much more than what can be expected from anything that even remotely concerns you.
I have, as a rule, in the past two years, the duration for which I have been blogging, not once left an anonymous comment on any blog. You have absolutely no reason, besides your own twisted logic, to believe that I have broken this self-imposed rule. I sincerely believe that anything I say here will be completely wasted on you, since you seem to be blinded by your own flawed reason, but for the sake of my faith in the inherent sense present in mankind at large, I will try once again to lead you to sanity.
I have not left any anonymous comments on your blog abusing you or your family. Over the past six months I had, very fortunately, almost completely forgotten about you and your miserable little existence. It is quite regrettable that you had to rear your ugly head on this blog again.
Moving on,
1. Okay. I shall take your word on it. Rest assured though, that I will probably look around for a second opinion.
2. I very much doubt it. However, even if we assume, for the sake of this argument, that you do, I daresay you aren't putting it to much good use. And while we are on the subject, I don't think you're very knowledgeable about a rather fundamental aspect of life called counting. 2 is usually followed by a 3, not by a 4, one's language proficiency notwithstanding.
3. Anybody but you. And mind your grammar.
Yours, also sincerely,
Manu Saxena
hahahahahahahhahahah! take that SC. nobody comments so out of the blue. i dont know who u r, but i think u're not even monu''s friend. i rather think u're his enemy n detest him. no blam but u cud''ve rather written a mail. n manu, bold step not deleting the rude comment man.
Are you in love?
...Just trying to figure in reasons for your absence...
Hello Manu,
i have a few questions:
1. Who have you been spending all your time with these days?
2. Why are u always at Barista?
3. Why do u not have any time for us now?
Hello Aditi. It is a pleasure to hear from you after such a long time.
As for your questions, I shall try my best to satisfy your curiosity.
1. I have been spending close to all my time with my MEP 202 group members in the Departmental Workshop in Block III, IIT, Delhi. I have a table to make.
2. I am at Barista frequently, and not always as you would have many believe, because I enjoy doing the crossword there. It is one of the few crosswords that I can come close to cracking each and every time.
3. As for me not having time for you, I have never heard anything further from the truth. I have all the time in the world for you. You, on the other hand, seem to be excessively busy with your studies, your examinations, and your life in general.
I hope that I have been successful in attending to most of your queries.
Keep commenting,
Manu

why should she keep commenting if u dont post any more?
hi aditi (if u're the one from school. i might b mistaken tho)
We had another name for what you call MEP 202. And yes, that can get rather time consuming. Don't blame you one bit.
MATT, I'LL KILL U!
sorry, wrong call!
mannu saxena ab hamare beach mein nahi raha...
(lagta hai usne apna khud ke beach khareed liya)
I know why Manu isn't posting anymore. It isn't his fault though. I request all to bear with him and support him in this rather difficult time. Those who know him well enough should be aware of what is being articulated here, for, this is not sudden in any way whatsoever, but something that has troubled him persistently over the years.
Once again, it really isn't his fault, although he has made little effort to change this rather unfortunate condition of his.
